I am excited to announce that ACT’s Studio 209 stage and greenroom renovations will begin in September 2020! At the close of our 2019-2020 Season, ACT will be temporarily suspending new productions in Studio 209 until Summer 2021.
The Studio 209 building has been ACT’s home for more than 30 years and the stage has gone through many transformations. With the addition of our beautiful Main Stage theatre 10 years ago, we will be celebrating our 40th Anniversary Season, while the Studio 209 space undergoes this next much-deserved update and redesign.
Here’s what will be happening in Studio 209...
Fall 2020: The greenroom (backstage) renovations begin, including the addition of an indoor set construction workshop.
Winter 2020: The stage and seating redesigns begin, including the creation of an adaptable stage space where we can present shows in-the-round and have other dynamic stagings.
Spring/Summer 2021: Renovations will be completed and new shows will be presented!
I am filled with pride yet humbled by the opportunity to lead ACT into its next chapter in the theatre’s 40-year history on Amelia Island. Our story could not continue without the ongoing dedication and support from each actor, director, volunteer, donor, and audience member who has helped us make Studio 209 and the Main Stage such an excellent home for live theatre. Thank you!
Tener Wade
ACT Executive Director
P.S. Remember to save-the-date for ACT's 40th Anniversary Gala on November 13, 2020!
