WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
THE MAIN STAGE AND STUDIO 209?
The Main Stage is a beautiful, 170-seat proscenium theatre specifically designed and built to be a performance space. The impressive building was opened in 2010 and today is the premier live theatre in our area. You’ll enjoy watching dramas, comedies, and musicals on the Main Stage, which run for three weekends of performances that are usually PG-13 rated productions.
In contrast, Studio 209 was a more intimate, 80-seat space that was renovated in the late 1980s to become the first permanent home of ACT. STUDIO 209 IS CURRENTLY UNDERGOING RENOVATIONS.
HOW ACCESSIBLE
IS ACT?
You‘ll find convenient, wheelchair, and mobility-impaired accessible seating in the front row in the Main Stage. Be sure to select "wheelchair seating" when purchasing your tickets online or tell our Box Office staff when you call so we’re aware of your accessibility needs before you arrive. We also offer personal Assisted Listening Devices upon request for productions in the Main Stage. This device is recommended for individuals with hearing difficulties or anyone who wants the volume of the show to be a little louder.
