A sentimental favorite, Singin’ in the Rain has all the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline. The starlet, Lina Lamont, and her leading man, Don Lockwood, are the hottest item on the silent screen.  Now the studio wants them to do “talking pictures.” Lina’s squeaky voice might be the end of their careers without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and singing for her. In the process, one of the greatest musicals of the silver screen is born. 

Five southern women, whose friendships began many years ago on their college swim team, set aside an annual long weekend every August to recharge those relationships.
